Launching our new nonprofit, The Ivy Table

After 3 years of operating a ministry-minded business, we felt called to take a leap of faith and create a nonprofit called The Ivy Table.  It is our hope that the new nonprofit will legitimize the work we have already been doing while also opening new opportunities for us.  Our mission will be to build community, feed hope, and share the love of Christ with food to those in need.  10% of Whisk and Ivy's monthly profits will now be donated to The Ivy Table.  We would love for you to partner with us.  Learn more at www.theivytable.org.

Introducing The Ivy Table

Dinner To Go.PNG

12,000+ Meals Donated through 'Dinners To Go'

The corona virus pandemic and nationwide quarantine that began in March of 2020 led to the temporary closure of many local programs and facilities that provide meals to those in need.  During that time, when our business was on hold, we began cooking for those most at risk in our community (seniors, low income, families that were temporarily out of work, and even the homeless).  In total, we were able to donate over 12,000 free meals, thanks to the generosity of our community, through a program that we called "Dinner To Go".

Although the Dinner To Go has ended, we continue to serve a meal every Wednesday night at Cornerstone Church in Brighton (reserve HERE). The donations that we receive from these dinners Wednesday night dinners will continue to feed those in need. In addition to our reserved meals, we always  prepare extra meals each week that are available for FREE to anyone in need (first come-first serve, no questions asked, no reservation needed).

Thank you for your continued support!

Jessica, Barb, and Sandy

Join us as we take a look back upon some of our favorite memories and events from the past 12 months.

It was so much fun to be invited on Fox 2 News Detroit this morning to discuss our partnership with Gleaners and our participation in the MealConnect program.  Thank you Amy Andrews for making us feel so at ease.

We loved having the opportunity to prepare dinner for Livingston County Foster Families during this year's DHHS annual Holiday Party.

Getting our photo taken with Santa was just a bonus!

What an incredible honor to be recognized as one of the top caterers for Livingston County in this year's wedding edition

The article described us as:

  • "homemade"

  • "a classic choice that will fit in at any wedding and in any season"

  • "featuring fresh ingredients"

  • "delicious catering option"

Thank you Livingston County Convention and Visitors Bureau!

We are so excited to announce our new partnership with Gleaner's Community Food Bank

We are now the first company to sign up with MealConnect, a program being piloted in Livingston County to eliminate food waste by getting it into the hands of hungry children within our community.

Our excess food and leftovers are now donated to school aged children around the county.
